Terms of Service

Please review before booking your appointment

At ISTIKLAL PTY LTD trading as imera skin and laser, we value transparency, professionalism and respect across every client experience. Our Terms of Service outline important clinic policies, booking expectations, appointment requirements and treatment guidelines designed to ensure a seamless experience for both our clients and staff. We encourage all clients to review these terms prior to booking or attending their appointment.

Welcome to imera skin and laser. By booking an appointment or receiving services from us, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

  • "We", "us", and "our" refer to ISTIKLAL PTY LTD.
  • "You", "your", or "client" refers to any individual booking or receiving services.
  • "Services" refers to all treatments, consultations, and retail offerings provided by imera skin and laser.
  • All bookings must be made through our secure Timely online booking system.
  • A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your appointment. This amount will be applied toward the total cost of your service on the day.
  • By making a booking, you acknowledge that you have completed the consultation form truthfully and to the best of your knowledge. Providing inaccurate or incomplete information may affect the outcome of your treatment.

Payment & pricing

  • We accept payment via card through our ANZ POS system. Contactless payments are accepted.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice. Services are charged according to current pricing at the time of your appointment. Eligible booking deposits will transfer with rescheduled appointments in accordance with our cancellation and rescheduling policy.
  • Full payment is due at the time of service.
  • Payment disputes must be resolved directly with imera skin and laser prior to making future bookings. We reserve the right to decline future services where disputes remain unresolved.

At imera skin and laser, appointment times are reserved especially for you. Please note that this is a strict policy with no exceptions or waivers. These terms are designed to respect both your time and ours.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice:

Your booking fee will be forfeited and is non-refundable.

Cancellations within 24 hours, no-shows, or late arrivals beyond 15 minutes:

The full service fee will be charged. This must be settled before any future bookings can be made.

Reschedules:

Clients may flexibly reschedule up to 24 hours before their appointment without losing their booking deposit. The booking deposit will be automatically transferred to the new appointment.

Cancellations with more than 24 hours' notice:

If you choose to cancel instead of rescheduling, the booking fee will remain on your client file as a credit to be used toward a future appointment.

All appointments must be managed through our secure Timely booking system.

imera skin and laser kindly asks clients to respect these policies, as last-minute changes or missed appointments prevent other clients from securing bookings and significantly impact a small business.

Clients are required to complete the consultation form accurately prior to their appointment. By booking, you confirm that the information you provide is truthful and accurate.

Failure to disclose relevant health information, medications, allergies, pregnancy, recent cosmetic procedures, or the use of prescription skincare and active skincare ingredients may result in treatment refusal or adverse effects, for which imera skin and laser will not be held liable.

Clients must inform us of any changes to their health, medications, or skincare routine prior to each appointment.

Health & safety

  • Clients must disclose any allergies, medications, skincare use, health conditions, pregnancy, or recent cosmetic procedures via the consultation form.
  • We reserve the right to decline, modify, or postpone a service where there are health or safety concerns.
  • Certain treatments may require patch testing or may be unsuitable depending on medical history, skin condition, pregnancy, medications, allergies, or recent cosmetic procedures.
  • Failure to disclose relevant information or follow aftercare instructions may result in adverse outcomes, for which imera skin and laser will not be held liable.

All service sales are final. Refunds are not offered once a service has been performed, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

If you are unsatisfied with your service, please contact us within 24 hours so we may review the concern. Adjustments may be offered at our discretion.

Due to hygiene regulations, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on retail products unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

Results & expectations

Laser and IPL hair removal provide long-term hair reduction. Results vary between individuals depending on hair colour, skin type, hormonal factors, and treatment adherence. We do not guarantee permanent hair removal, and no specific result is promised for any individual client.

Patch testing

A patch test is mandatory prior to a client's first laser or IPL treatment, and may be required again if there has been a break in treatment or a change in skin condition, medication, or sun exposure. We reserve the right to decline treatment if a patch test has not been completed or shows an adverse reaction.

Sun exposure & tanning

Clients must avoid sun exposure, solariums, self-tanning products, and spray tans for at least 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after each laser/IPL treatment. Treating tanned, sunburnt, or recently self-tanned skin significantly increases the risk of burns, pigmentation changes, and scarring. imera skin and laser will not be held liable for adverse outcomes resulting from a client's non-disclosure of recent sun or UV exposure, and we reserve the right to refuse or postpone treatment where skin is assessed as unsuitable on the day.

Medications & photosensitivity

Clients must disclose use of any photosensitising medications or products, including but not limited to Roaccutane/isotretinoin (and other retinoids), certain antibiotics, and other prescription or over-the-counter treatments that increase skin sensitivity to light. Some medications require a waiting period before laser treatment can safely proceed. Failure to disclose this information may result in treatment refusal or adverse skin reactions, for which imera skin and laser will not be held liable.

Pre- and post-care compliance

Clients must follow all pre- and post-treatment care instructions provided, including avoiding sun exposure, heat, active skincare ingredients, and other restrictions as advised. imera skin and laser cannot guarantee treatment results or be held liable for adverse outcomes where pre- or post-care instructions have not been followed.

Minors

We do not treat clients under the age of 18 for laser or IPL services without prior consultation and written parental/guardian consent, at our discretion.

Clients are responsible for following all aftercare instructions provided after their treatment. Failure to follow aftercare guidance may affect the results and longevity of your treatment. imera skin and laser cannot guarantee treatment results where aftercare advice has not been followed.

Liability waiver

  • You acknowledge that skin, laser and beauty treatments carry inherent risks and that results may vary between individuals.
  • imera skin and laser will not be held liable for adverse reactions, allergic responses, or dissatisfaction where consultation information has been incomplete, inaccurate, or aftercare instructions have not been followed.
  • By booking an appointment, you acknowledge and accept these risks and release imera skin and laser from liability related to services provided.
  • imera skin and laser maintains full professional and public liability insurance.

We collect and handle your personal and health information in accordance with Australian privacy law. For full details on what we collect, how it's stored, and your rights, please see our Privacy Policy below.

For safety reasons and to maintain the calm, personalised experience imera skin and laser is known for, we kindly ask that children and additional guests do not attend appointments.

Due to our intimate clinic setting and limited waiting area capacity, clients are also asked to arrive no earlier than 5 minutes prior to their appointment time.

Force majeure

imera skin and laser will not be held liable for disruptions or inability to provide services due to events beyond our control. This includes but is not limited to illness, power outages, natural disasters, or government restrictions.
